CARS / BIKES / DELIVERIES

Only 3 hours from London or Manchester. If you bring a car or motorbike this will give you lots of opportunities for great days out.  We have lots of parking to accommodate.

 

If you use the postcode for navigation - EX13 7LZ - then you should find yourself at the bottom of our lane, at a grass triangle marked with a dead-end sign and a bridlepath sign.

 

OUR LANE

Due to the nature of the lane - large lorries (over 6m) will struggle.

Drive slowly! Children, animals and other drivers use this very narrow lane - which has five houses on it. 10mph max speed recommended. There are a few passing places. 

​

If you drive up past the first house called Haddams you will notice a converted chapel 'The Old Chapel' on your left and you'll know your on the right track... carry on slowly up the lane, around a few bends, watching out for horses, children, dogs and walkers as you go. We are the first house on the right, just past the 3rd speed hump (which does require you to slow right down as its very hard to slow down delivery drivers) with stone walls either side of large black metal gates.

 

Drive up the steep concrete drive (watching out for 'Squeaky' the cat!), first gear recommended and your parking space is on the left as you reach the top. Park here and head up the sleeper steps to your garden and up the wooden stairs to the front door.

 

CYCLE 

For two wheeled hedonists who love hills, why not leave the car at home!?! Miles of country lanes to explore. We have a secure bike lock up and can provide tools and kit for essential maintenance.

 

TRAIN

Axminster Station is only 2 miles away and has frequent trains to and from London Waterloo and Exeter. However please book any taxis well in advance to get here and back. Uber does not exist here and taxis get booked up, so don't expect to just get one when you arrive.. you could literally be waiting days! PRE-BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL !!

 

Taunton is only 20 miles away and has regular and fast trains from London Paddington.
